Error in function

=IF(C139(SEARCH(Open,C139)), (NOW(B139*24)), CELL("contents", C4))

Can anybody suggest why this contains an error, or where it is?
 
I'm unsure what you mean? but it seem to work perfectly fine with that function in there, thanks for your help though buddy

Format cells as currency
Select range and press Ctrl+Shift+4 to format cells as currency. (Shift 4 is the $ sign).

Your formula is...
=IF(B5="open", NOW()-A5,CELL("contents",C5))

All Im saying is that can be streamlined to ...
=IF(B5="open", NOW()-A5,C5)
