I have about 1,500 rows of data that contain two columns, transaction date and order date. I want to be able to find the rows with transaction date before order date. What formula can be written to do this task?

Example
Trans Date Order Date
3/18/2011 3/15/2011

Excel Facts

Add Bullets to Range
Select range. Press Ctrl+1. On Number tab, choose Custom. Type Alt+7 then space then @ sign (using 7 on numeric keypad)
If transaction dates are in A2 down and order dates from B2 then in C2

=A2< B2

copy that formula down

You can filter all data by TRUE in column C to get a full list

Forget my message.... it seems no matter what I do, it won't format correctly. Never had this problem before so I am at a loss as to what is happening.

After entering Formula in C2 (downward) - Use Auto-Filter on Col C = True
