Greetings --

Is there a way, using Excel logical formulae, to create an event counter for frequency of data change in a cell.

Specifically, each time there is a manual entry in cell B29 (dropdown list), a calculated value in cell K14 changes.

How can I count the number of entries that have been made (or how many times the numerical data have changed) per twenty four hours?

Many Thx
Andreas

VLOOKUP to Left?
Use =VLOOKUP(A2,CHOOSE({1,2},$Z$1:$Z$99,$Y$1:$Y$99),2,False) to lookup Y values to left of Z values.

Welcome to the Board!

If you want to increment a cell's value every time another cell is changed.... I don't think you could do that without VBA (though, I've seen some pretty amazing formulas here!). It could be done pretty easily with a Worksheet_Change() event. Like so:
Code:
Private Sub Worksheet_Change(ByVal Target As Range)
    Application.EnableEvents = False
    If Target.Address = "$B$29" And IsNumeric([K14].Value) Then [K14].Value = [K14].Value + 1
    Application.EnableEvents = True
End Sub

Hope that helps! I just now saw the second part of your question (about time limits). Let me think on that one for a bit.
