Just had to install Excel 2007 onto a machine that had Excel 2003 already installed. irrespective of me chosing not to remove previous versions, the install removed 2003 anyway.

The problem now is that the macros that were set up in 2003 do not or will not run in 2007.

Any ideas to solve this problem please?

Excel Facts

VLOOKUP to Left?
Use =VLOOKUP(A2,CHOOSE({1,2},$Z$1:$Z$99,$Y$1:$Y$99),2,False) to lookup Y values to left of Z values.

Well, that is a broad statement that is mostly false. It is 100% true for a few things such as Application.Search which was removed. Is that your issue or something else like menus or such?

Thanks for your reply... apologies for being a bit brief but I hope the text below explains a bit more..

'.............I have had to install Excel 2007 onto a machine that had, previously, 2003.

During the install, although I indicated that I wanted to retain 2003, the install removed it anyway.

Problem being is that I have a crucial spreadsheet which has a number of macros incorporated into it which will open but none of the macros will run.

To make things worse, the author of the macros passed away a number of years ago, so we have no way of being able to find out exactly how they are set up.

Needless to say, I am absolutely desperate to get this workbook operational again very soon. It must be possible but I can't seem to see how.

Any help would be gratefully received...................'

Regards

If you are not willing to change code, then you will have to uninstall 2007 and install 2003. You could try a Windows restore first.
