Excel 2007 chart

Hello All,
I've created a chart in excel 2007 and can't format the horizontal axis to the desired font size without the whole box going too small and the text not all showing. The text is set at 90 degrees and currently formated at text size 20, any smaller gives me the probllem. I can email spreadsheet if required. Any ideas are most welcome.
