Excel 2007 disable "Select Multiple Items" in pivot filter

Is there a way to disable the "Select Multiple Items" checkbox in a pivot table filter in Excel 2007? Ideally I would like this to not show at all, but if it has to be there, then hopefully there is a way to "gray it out."
