I have created a templete which I use as a fill in the blank and save form. I use macros to jump around and save the form in a location with the invoice name(ie 12345.xls) This all works great in excel 2003 but now some of my users have moved up to excel 2007. Hers where the strang part comes in to play. If I Open the templete and fill in the blanks and let the program save as it always has, everything is great. The file opened in compatability mode and all went well. The problem starts when I need to go to the file(ie123245.xls) and open it to edit. The first message tells me the format is wrong. It is set to save in 98-2003 mode. The file(ie123245.xls) does not open in compatability mode.I also cannot go to vba and see my code. I've tried changing the way it saves files but that hasn't helped. The problem only shows up when I try to go into the file after it was saved in excel 2007. I need to retain xls compatability but I also need this to work on my excel 2007 machines. Anu ideas wouod be greatly appreciated. I'm not the best vba programmer but this works on all the 2003 units just fine.

Links? Where??
If Excel says you have links but you can't find them, go to Formulas, Name Manager. Look for old links to dead workbooks & delete.
