Excel 2007 VBA - Chart Markers and Lines

I have several series on my chart.
I need to be able to do the following:
- hide the series line but not the marker
- hide the series marker but not the line

I've tested different options but nothing has worked....and finding an answer on the internet was surprisingly impossible after about an hour search!

'The following hides the line AND the marker!!! that's too much!!!
ActiveChart.SeriesCollection(idx).Format.Line.Visible = msoFalse

Anyone help is greatly appreciated!
