I have just started using excel 2010 converting from 2003.

Whenever I first open my old excel 2003 workbooks in 2010 and enter my first data in a cell, the Display zooms to fit a page width onto the display. I then have to reset the size where I wanted it.

Is there a global option to stop this from resizing automatically?

Excel Facts

How to find 2nd largest value in a column?
MAX finds the largest value. =LARGE(A:A,2) will find the second largest. =SMALL(A:A,3) will find the third smallest
To be more precise in what is happening;

When you first open the old 2003 workbook in excel 2010 it looks fine. If you click on the zoom magnificaiton, in my case it shows the same custom magnification as on the 2003 system - ie 76%.

After I make my first entry, the magnification defaults to 100%.

I then need to go back into the zoom control window and set my magnification back to a custom 76%. After that it stays stable.

I have hundreds of workbooks with 10-20 worksheets in each - this is a pain in the butt.

Any suggestions on how to stop this?
