For my football fantasy league I have a list of all of the player names in my master data worksheet. I then have a worksheet for each team in the league. Each team worksheet has the players that are on that team.

Is there a way in my master data worksheet to have Excel identify which team worksheet the player is in and put that worksheet name into a cell?

Excel Facts

Copy formula down without changing references
If you have =SUM(F2:F49) in F50; type Alt+' in F51 to copy =SUM(F2:F49) to F51, leaving the formula in edit mode. Change SUM to COUNT.
Excel formula do not put values into cells.
Excel formulas get values from other cells, calculate, and display the result.
(A subtle difference that caused me to waste hours of time trying out how to do the impossible, until I learned that Excel formulas do not put, they get.)

You could put formulas in the individual team sheets that would get their data from the Master sheet.

or

You could use Advanced Filter to Copy the info to the individual team sheets.

or

(if this is a once a season thing)
You could AutoFilter the Master Sheet, copy the filtered data and paste it into the individual team sheet.

If you post detail of how the data is layed out on the Master sheet, we could suggest ways to get that info into the Individual sheets.
