been tasked create a list of the equipments in our company with information like location and service dates.

how do i create an alert prior to the service date? email would be nice but an highlight function is really good enough since our team uses the file daily.

Hi,

If you have the service dates in your sheet, I would suggest adding something like =today() in a cell "out of the way", you could then CF the cell/row to show in red when the service date is due in one week, 4 weeks etc.
