Excel cant open file and just crashes

I am working on a file which has I am using VBA and reading and writing to files and then placing various data into a spreadsheet from the various files. All of a sudden the spreadsheet will not open.

Excel starts to open the file and then just exits. Any thoughts on whats going on here.

I am running Excel 2000 on WinXP on an HP computer.

I would love to post the offending sub, but I can't open the file. Any suggestions on how I can get to the sub would also be welcomed.
