Hi,

I have a workbook of charts, which all feed from a data sheet at the back of the workbook.

I have created a drop down under each chart, which lists all of the different series names.

Once selected, i have a small data table which changes depending on the value in this drop down. I have created an extra series in the chart, which is named whatever is in the drop down, and the values are whatever is in this data table.. its all really good stuff! This series is a different colour, and enables the user to identify where they stand compared to all of the other series.

So.....

In my datasheet, it has months i.e. Apr11, May11, June11 and for the months where there are no data yet are in hidden columns, so the chart does not pick this up. I.e. if i have 3 months data, i only want the chart to show 3 months, not a potential 15 months with the 3 populated months squashed right over the left hand side of the chart.

For the data table which is under each chart, i have a formula in the data to show an #N/A if there is no data available yet.

My problem is that the chart does show 3 months data with the hidden columns on the datasheet and if i only select the 3 months data on the series underneath the chart, but if i select the potential 15 months data, currently with 3 pieces of data and 12 #N/A cells, the chart squashes the 3 months, as above.

Sorry for the lengthy message, but im stuck!!!

Thanks

Paul
