I'm trying to build an Excel chart that tracks a machine's utilization over time. It's for an operations simulation for school. On the horizontal axis is the number of the days the simulation ran. On the vertical axis is the machine's utilization in a % format. All of what I've described thus far is no problem.
During the simulation there are some key days where our simulated business lost money. I'm trying to identify those days on my chart. The simulation ran for 268 days but on days 28, 34, 41, 42, 71, 165 and 223 the simulation lost money. We're hoping to use the graph to see the link between utilization and lost money. I tried inserting lines but that didn't work very well at all.
Bottom line: I'm looking for a way to identify those particular days so that they stick out within the graph. Any suggestions?
