Hi Guys,

I am trying to make an excel conditional format around a date.

What i am doing is I want a cell to turn red if the date in the cell is more than twelve months from todays date. So in excel i think its called NOW.

The cell has a drop down box to put in date formats such as March 2006, Feb 07 ect so I need it to recognise it is twelve months out and turn red.

This will indicate if training is over due, and if not it will stay nuetral

Any help would be ace this is doing my head in:mad::mad:

How to create a cell-sized chart?
Tiny charts, called Sparklines, were added to Excel 2010. Look for Sparklines on the Insert tab.
Hi,

you can use this formula in conditional formatting

=DATEDIF(A1,TODAY(),"d")>365

Hope this helps!

step 1 -

select or choose the cell or the drop down place where u prefer to enter the date, if the dates are already entered in column A, select all the dates, then,

step 2 -

click on conditional formatting, click new rule - select the last option (2007 excel ) if 2003 then under conditonal formatting choose the formula drop down on the left hand side then paste the formula given below

=DATEDIF(A1,TODAY(),"d")>365
( Assuming that you are entering the date in cloumn A, else change the column accordingly)

before clicking OK, Please choose under the color red under format

Thats it!!
