Hi

I have a number of very large documents (17mb) and growing.

on each sheet there are a large amount of rows that are hidden with data in up to 8000 rows

I have an macro that simply adds a new line

Sub new_line()
Selection.EntireRow.Insert , CopyOrigin:=xlFormatFromLeftOrAbove
ActiveCell.Offset(1, 0).Select
End Sub

This works fine on the sheet that is first opened but as soon as you move to another sheet and run the macro, you get the error message

"Excel cannot complete this task with the available resources. Choose Less data or close other applications"

the sheet then completely crashes and you have to close it
