Hi

I have a templated Spreadsheet that I need to populate from other spreadsheets that I receive.

The template has a First, Last name column and level column and needs to have the following columns populated with a number. Columns A, B, C, D

The live spreadsheets that come in have First Last name column and level and the numbers needed to populate Columns A, B, C, D from the template.

*** Note the rows for first and last name are not in the same order as the spreadsheets I receive.

The Goal is to automate a way to get the data from column A, B, C, D of the live spreadsheet into the template in its corresponding location.

Example - If the live spreadsheet has a name like Jay Anderson and column A, B, C, D has numbers 3 , 6, 9.74, and 20 then those numbers for Jay Anderson need to be populated in the Template spreadsheet in the row for Jay Anderson.

Please let me know if there is a way to do this in excel? I have been racking my brain trying to figure this out.

When did Power Query debut in Excel?
Although it was an add-in in Excel 2010 & Excel 2013, Power Query became a part of Excel in 2016, in Data, Get & Transform Data.
