Hi, is there anywhere these individual icons are available.

VBA Ribbon - Face Ids 2003
For the latest Office version though.

I was planning on inserting some of the images in a VBA userform.

Thanks Dan,

I completely forgot about the handy PictureFormat of the Shape object. 🤭

Excel Facts

Highlight Duplicates
Home, Conditional Formatting, Highlight Cells, Duplicate records, OK to add pink formatting to any duplicates in selected range.
The FaceId images, like the msoImages, are built into Office. The issue is that new FaceIds were added in each version of Excel up to 2003, then msoImages are introduced in 2007, with more added to each subsequent version.

I have oh so many questions about FaceIds - like: Who makes them? Do they STILL make them? Why are there so many duplicates (so, so many)? And what's the logic behind the numbering system? Is there an official repository for all - past and present? I live in hope that maybe one day someone from MS will reveal the secrets of FaceIDs... LOL

I wouldn't get too excited about FaceIds. They are old, from Excel 97-2003, haven't been updated, and are kept only for reverse compatibility. Also, they are 16x16 bitmaps.

For perspective, all Office versions that used FaceIds are out of long-term support, as are the first two (almost three) that used the replacement ImageMsos. Recent implementations are scalable vector graphics.

And there are a gazillion free and cheap icons available on the internet.
