excel file open in outlook save on network file is corrupt

I have a file that I have used and updated for years. Now when I send the file to someone and they open the file in outlook and save the file back to the network it is corrupt. any suggestion?
 

Excel Facts

Copy formula down without changing references
If you have =SUM(F2:F49) in F50; type Alt+' in F51 to copy =SUM(F2:F49) to F51, leaving the formula in edit mode. Change SUM to COUNT.
