Hi, I have an excel document with multiple worksheets and multiple pages within each worksheet. I need to change those pages that are before the "cover page" to have page numbers in roman numerals and the page after the "cover page" to be page "1" and then count up from there. I am not sure how to do this and any help would be great. Many thanks

Excel Facts

Workdays for a market open Mon, Wed, Friday?
Yes! Use "0101011" for the weekend argument in NETWORKDAYS.INTL or WORKDAY.INTL. The 7 digits start on Monday. 1 means it is a weekend.
A few questions about the setup.

  • Does each worksheet have its own cover page or is the cover page simply a separate, stand-alone worksheet?
  • Is there something unique that could be used to 'identify' the cover sheet? It needs to be the same on all cover sheets but not on any of the non-cover sheets.
  • Are you amenable to using VBA?

Hi, thank you for your messages:

  • Does each worksheet have its own cover page or is the cover page simply a separate, stand-alone worksheet? - Cover page is stand alone
  • Is there something unique that could be used to 'identify' the cover sheet? It needs to be the same on all cover sheets but not on any of the non-cover sheets. - There is only one cover sheet and it's tab name is "cover" which is unique.
  • Are you amenable to using VBA? - I have used VBA in the past, but I am trying to do this without using VBA
Many thanks

I'm afraid it's beyond me how to do it sans VBA.

Sorry, mate.

This will not be possible without the use of vba.
