Excel formula/macro to test Markov property

Hello,

I have a data set with a series of 1's and 0's representing the condition of 1000 individuals from day 1 to day 700. So I have the id of the 1000 individuals down column A and the day number across row 1 (on three worksheets). I need to run a test of the Markov property in this data to meaure the dependence in the histories of each individual.

Does anyone know of a formula or a macro that can do this?
