I have several columns of data related to school scheduling. One of the columns has course numbers. I would like to change these course numbers into data such as teacher's name, subject taught, and period the subject is taught. I have a list of course numbers and what they represent. Is there a way to create a reference table for this information and create a formula to change these course numbers into the information I want?

Excel Facts

Create a chart in one keystroke
Select the data and press Alt+F1 to insert a default chart. You can change the default chart to any chart type
You could use Excel's VLOOKUP worksheet funtion to extract info from your lookup table.
