Excel Help - Lookup

Hi,

I would like some assistance with help in value lookup. There are 2 factors involved so I was not able to work with single lookup.

I am pasting a table array of A1:H19. I have added the an additional column to the left to list the row number and row at the top to list the column number.

I am trying to find a formula where we first look for ABC (5.5) in the second row and then look for XYZ in the previous column (previous to the one where ABC is located) and then pick up the value from the next to the XYZ.

I know it would be simple for many but I have learnt a lot through this message board and I appreciate everyone's help all the time.

Unclear, can you elaborate? Also, it would help if you clearly stated which data is the source and if you provided the actual results you expect.
