Excel multiple look ups

I am doing a spreadsheet comparing date with 30+columns I want to do a look up that not fixed, ie Lookup(Value, Data, output 1), Lookup(Value, Data, output 2), ....Lookup(Value, Data, output 30), Is there way to change output with out typing the differnt output ranges and tell excel to pull a value from the table?

Instead of VLOOKUP(Criteria,Range,Number,False)

you can use VLOOKUP(Criteria,Range,COLUMN(),False)

Where the Column() formula will automatically adjust as it's copied across. Substitute ROW() if you're copying down. To adjust you can add/subtract from the Column/Row number as necessary. I.E. COLUMN()+1.
