Excel shortcut just launches Excel, but not the file

Hi all,

I right clicked on an xlsm file and chose CREATE SHORTCUT.

I then dragged this shortcut file into the taskbar to create the shortcut icon.

When I click this icon, it does not open the file, it only launches Excel. I still have to click the icon again to open the file.

Does anybody experience the same? And does anybody know how to fix this i.e. file should open upon the first click?

I am using Excel 2007.

Perhaps this: click the Office button (top left), click Excel Options, click Advanced, scroll down to General. Make sure that Ignore other applications... is not ticked.
