Hello,
I need help with using Solver add-in function. Using my example below, the values returned by formula are C3 = 3.318, D3 = 3.437 E3 = 4.501. The D3 calculation is dependent on the C3 calculation and the E3 calculation is dependent on the D3 calculation and C3 is the base calculation. What I'm trying to do is reverse the calculation by shifting the value of E3 plus/minus to see the effect on the C3 value. Let's say by changing the value of E3 to 5.5 I want to see the resulting values of D3 and C3. Solver can not solve the problem if I input C3 in the Set Target Cell and E3 in the By Changing cells: If I click Guess, the cell reference is incorrect.

Please help!

Example:
cell C3 = cell reference to a another cell with a formula referencing multiple cells
cell D3 = cell reference to a another cell with a formula referencing multiple cells
cell E3 = cell reference to a another cell with a formula referencing multiple cells
