I'm not sure if Excel will be able to do this or if I'll have to work it out manually but here goes my query. I'm working on an order form to send to a supplier which is splitting requested order volumes down into container loads. I know the size of each unit being ordered and the size of the containers. However each month there is a variable number of SKU's with varying quantities being ordered. Is it possible to get Excel to look at the volumes being ordered and when the load goes over a single container size then it splits the demand over the additional containers? I suspect this might be one of those jobs which will have to be done manually but thought I'd ask.

Thanks in advance.

You could certainly calculate the volume of the entire order provided you know the size of the boxed products and their weights. You should use the dimensions of the actual shipped boxes not the individual units should they be shipped in boxes of more than one. The container itself will have a max volume and max weight allowable so you will need to use the minimum quantity of whichever threshold is hit first.
