On a spreadsheet, ActiveCell is NOT the widest cell in a column, but looking for VBA to adjust width of column based on ActiveCell

VBA Code:
ActiveCell.EntireColumn.AutoFit 'adjusts to widest cell in column

ActiveCell.AutoFit 'no such thing

Excel Facts

Remove leading & trailing spaces
Save as CSV to remove all leading and trailing spaces. It is faster than using TRIM().
Try something like this:
VBA Code:
    ActiveCell.ColumnWidth = Len(ActiveCell)
