Excel VBA Trouble Accessing Sharepoint

I have an Excel workbook macro that saves some of it's sheets to a sharepoint site as html. We are in the process of migrating to a new cloud based sharepoint site. The code works fine to save sheets to the old sharepoint site. However, on the new site I get a permission error when trying to save the sheets. I have access. I can map file explorer to the sharepoint site and read/write files to/from there. I have also tried using the filesystem object in VBA to access files on the sharepoint but if fails with the same error. However, I can create a batch file that copies files to the sharepoint and execute it from VBA with the Shell command successfully. Anyone have any idea how I can get access to this new sharepoint site from within VBA without having to shell out to the command line?
