I have an excel file that is write protected.

1) I would like to open the file protected and with help of a button be able to save the changed of the contect and with the file still write protected so I can not use the save button within excel.

2) I would like also to change the name of the file with the file still writeprotected.

Cheers Gustaf

What is the shortcut key for Format Selection?
Ctrl+1 (the number one) will open the Format dialog for whatever is selected.
I could not get it to work, to writeprotect with password the current excel fil with from VBA. Anybody that has done that ?
