I am running windows 10 and office 365. I have a workbook I have created in excel with a custom ribbon I created with XML code.
I have used this workbook for a few years just updating the macros and adding buttons to the custom ribbon I created using XML?
But for some reason recently when I open the workbook the custom ribbon is not there and when I check for my XML code it's vanished/gone.
Does anyone know why this is happening?

Excel Facts

What is the shortcut key for Format Selection?
Ctrl+1 (the number one) will open the Format dialog for whatever is selected.
Hi mayoung,
no big help here, but I've noticed that too. See this SO post: Excel Custom Ribbon XML being stripped -> could it be your files are on Sharepoint too? It seems to have to do with a MS update, although I don't know which.
Cheers,
Koen

Hi Koen,

You are correct, the file is stored on a sharepoint. I have found since my posting if I store the file locally instead of sharepoint my XML code stays intact.
Thanks for the reply.
