Hi there,

Im using Excel Vista and I cant seem to figure out how to lock the entire workbook so you have to enter a password to access it (private data stored on shared drive).

Im sure this is a very simple one for you all!

Thanks,

Clare

Excel Facts

Bring active cell back into view
Start at A1 and select to A9999 while writing a formula, you can't see A1 anymore. Press Ctrl+Backspace to bring active cell into view.
It should be one of the SaveAs option. In 2003 there are options for password to open and password to modify.
They should still exist in your version.

Thank you...

It was actually in the 'prepare' area rather than the save as.... but you certainly pointed me in the right direction- I never thought to look in the excel button area.

Thanks again.
