Excel Warning for Digital Signature

Hello All:

I created a Self Certificate. My computer was repaired. I am trying to modify code in one of my Macros and I am receiving the following message.

"You have modified a signed project. You do not have the correct key to sign this project. The signature will be discarded."

What does this actually mean? Will the corrections I made take place? If the current signature does not apply now, how can I reapply it too this project? Can someone offer any help or assistance.
