Just picked up a new client today. However, not until I showed up at their office did I find out they are on a Mac (of course the one interview question they left blank in their email).
Anyway...

They are running Excel07 in XP running on a Mac.

I've never developed for the Mac and I know there are a few differences between Excel on a Mac and Ecel on a PC.

Since they are running Excel07 in XP but on a Mac, do I have any concerns? As I don't have access to a Mac for testing, I am really hoping it will be just as if they had a PC.

And as always I can never thank this board, Mr. Excel himself and all the wizard contributers enough.

THANKS TO EVERYONE!

If they are running in XP, and using Excel 2007, consider it to be a Windows environment. (I assume that they use Bootcamp, Parallels, or similar).

The issues will arise if they use Office 2004, 2008 or 2011 (all Mac versions of Office). From discussions that I have seen previously I would recommend (in descending order) 2011, 2004, 2008.

Denis,
Just like you said.
Everything ran just like XP.
-System Environment
-Emailing
-Internet Access
Everything worked!

Good to hear.

I'm a fan of virtual setups. I've done some Access work for a Mac client using Parallels and the only adjustment I had to make was to a couple of keyboard shortcuts.
