Hi Excel Gurus,
Im currently workgin on a spreadsheet tht extends to AZ190044. I have a circumstance where instead of using the powerful filtering pivot tables give me, I am looking to exclude certain entities based on a filter.
for example,
I have a pivot that shows me, in a table format, a customer ID number, a variation of their name, a list of items they have purchased, and then a count of qty invoiced in the values section of a pivot. Using a filter, I can easily see which customers purchased an item with a description in a title (i.e. label filter, contains, and then my word...)
my problem is i want to see the reverse - i.e. obtain a list of customer ID's (ultimately) that DID NOT record an instance of a value. (i.e. if the customer did not show sales of an item with the word 'milk' in it), then I want to know who they were...
There is a long way around it, but it's late and i want the simple and more effective way!
hoping for clarity!
