Exe to XLS

I am having a file converted from xls to exe. The original xls file is damaged and doesnt open now. Is it possible to convert this exe back again to XLS or else I will have to prepare the original XLS once again a tedious job ???

Hi wingirish
Are you able to open the EXE file and does it open in Excel. If it does open in Excel, you may be able to SaveAs and save a coopy as an xls file.
