executing SQL with a variable in it

Hi -
I have been going around in circles with this for a while.
I have a piece of SQL that I want to execute from an Excel file. I have created a database query through the "Data from MicrosoftQuery" wizard and this is fine, however I want to make the SQL slightly dynamic - I want to read a date from a cell.

Can anyone help?

Maybe a parameter Query?

Thanks - My query seems to be a bit too complex to use parameter query wizard - looks like I have to use some VBA code - thanks
