Hi all,

I need a formula to extract number from a string

example:v12

from the above i need the number(can be more than two digits) which appears after the character v

Excel Facts

Copy a format multiple times
Select a formatted range. Double-click the Format Painter (left side of Home tab). You can paste formatting multiple times. Esc to stop
Lets say that example:v12 is in cell A1.

in cell B1 put the following formula.

=RIGHT(A1,(LEN(A1)-FIND("v",A1,1)))
