Hello,

I am building a dashboard for some data that I have on upcoming events and tasks that are coming up in the next 30 days. On the dashboard I want to have a table that pulls this data from much larger set on a seperate worksheet that. What is the best way to go about this?

Excel Facts

Ambidextrous Undo
Undo last command with Ctrl+Z or Alt+Backspace. If you use the Undo icon in the QAT, open the drop-down arrow to undo up to 100 steps.
What version of Excel are you using?

Have you looked at the FILTER Function? This will do just what you are looking for.

Solution
Sorry for a delayed reply, but yes Filter appears to do what I want as far as getting the data.

Now that I have it filtering the way I want, is there a way to carry over the cell formatting of the existing data? Like the date column shows as the actual date value rather than a readable date. Since the size will be dynamic I would prefer not to have to reformat the columns if they grow/shrink.

Few ways

Put your data in a table, it will hold the formats.
Use VBA to format the data after load
Format your columns more then you will need, (you said you don't want to do this, but it is an option)
