Extracting from after consistant characters

I searched the board and found numerous request for this particular issue, but I'm not use that they meet my needs. What I need to do is to extract all the character after a "\" in a cell. So for example A1 contains
abcd\pattersong. In B1 I want to just see pattersong. There are formulas on the board using the Left, Len & Find functions, but I am
not to sure as to how to use them. The characters to the right of "\" and be of any length.

Try

=RIGHT(A1,LEN(A1)-FIND("\",A1))
