I have a vba macro attached to a worksheet. When I enter debug mode, F8 will not start stepping into the macro. Nothing happens at all.

Probably something easy but I cant figure it out.

Thanks in advance.

Excel Facts

Enter current date or time
Ctrl+: enters current time. Ctrl+; enters current date. Use Ctrl+: Ctrl+; Enter for current date & time.
How exactly are you entering debug mode?

Where has the code been stopped/paused?

This might be a stupid question, but where's the cursor when you do that?

What is the signature of the procedure you're trying to step into?

It must be a Sub (not a Function), and it cannot have any arguments.

You can't run that with F8.

Try putting a breakpoint on the first line with F9.

Then goto the worksheet and enter something in a cell.

The change event will be triggered and you can then step through it.
