Hi All -

I am extremely new to excel, so any/all help would be fantastic!!

I have a crystal report that created my excel output. I need to burst this excel report into separate files based upon each individual customer name. I would like the new files to be named using the customer name. Sadly the format is not in column format. I can not say in column A - find the cust name.

It looks like this:

ABC Medical 101128
Commission Calculation:
Break Tier Sales Commission Rate Commission
Tier 1 18,575.00 25.00 $4,643.75
Tier 2 $30,833.33 0.00 30.00 $0.00
Tier 3 $0.00 0.00 0.00 $0.00
Total 18,575.00 25.00 $4,643.75
Transactions:
Invoice ID Customer Name Part ID QTY UM Unit Price Ext Price
109405 Greenville Hospital System (Simpsonville, SC) AMS310-5PK 1.00 PK $1875 $1,875.00
109475 Greenville Hospital System (Simpsonville, SC) AMS607 1.00 PK $200 $200.00
108815 Greenville Memorial Hospital (Greenville, SC) AMS310-5PK 1.00 PK $1875 $1,875.00
Total Sales For ABC Medical: $18,575.00
{ABC Medical}

XYZ Medical DGA001
Commission Calculation:
Break Tier Sales Commission Rate Commission
Tier 1 73,475.00 20.00 $14,695.00
Tier 2 $0.00 0.00 0.00 $0.00
Tier 3 $0.00 0.00 0.00 $0.00
Total 73,475.00 20.00 $14,695.00
Transactions:
Order ID Customer Name Part ID QTY UM Unit Price Ext Price
108566 Carolina Bone & Joint (Myrtle Beach, SC) AMS310 1.00 EA $400 $400.00
Total Sales For Cam McLain: $73,475.00
{XYZ MEdical}

Not so pretty in this box. :laugh:

I coded in crystal reports the "{ABC Medical}" to delineate when the reporting is complete on the customer. Note "{XYZ Medical}" as well. I can easily remove these... my thinking was when I hit one of these markers I would know to create the new file.

Thank you for your help. Again, I am new so please be gentle!!
