One of my users just came to me with something I have not seen before. When she opens a couple of her files, she gets a "version" at the end (.xlsx:1,.xlsx:2, etc). She said opening the file can even open separate instances of Excel and put the different version of the file in the separate versions of Excel. This seems crazy to me and I have no idea where to start troubleshooting this. We are using Office 2007. Any ideas??

Excel Facts

What is the last column in Excel?
Excel columns run from A to Z, AA to AZ, AAA to XFD. The last column is XFD.
It sound like she has saved the file with multiple windows open. Try clicking the grey X (top right) to close a window.
