Hey all.
I've searched the archives for help to this but to no avail; so is there any way a file can be unprotected when the password is not known - not the worksheet or workbook but the file.
Any answers would be greatly appreciated!

Did you know Excel offers Filter by Selection?
Add the AutoFilter icon to the Quick Access Toolbar. Select a cell containing Apple, click AutoFilter, and you will get all rows with Apple
Thanks Will, I had seen that but I can't access the excel key as our system has a secure computing smartfilter, any other ideas?!

Try looking at the whole thread from page 4... Jack in UK has some suggestions of how you can add some code to the auto_open procedure to run the VB code suggested in the thread - it may help if you read the whole thing.... as i'm sure the user wanted to do the same as you do.

Regards
