Hi,

Is it possible to use fill effects in a blank cell in Excel 2003,

I see this option available when I am changing the background of a chart, but can not see it for a blank cell,

I am putting together my first dashboard, and would like some fill effects in unused cells in each section.

Thanks in advance

Enter current date or time
Ctrl+: enters current time. Ctrl+; enters current date. Use Ctrl+: Ctrl+; Enter for current date & time.
Not that I'm aware of... you can set the background of the sheet to a picture file which could be your gradient, but I don't know how well this would work for you.

No, it's not possible. Why would you want to draw attention to blank cells?
