Fill in blanks in pivot table

Hello!

Excel 2007

Any idea how to fill in blanks in the vertical axis of a pivot table? I know how to handle empty cells in the main portion of the pivot table - but can't seem to figure it out for the row labels.

Thanks for any info.

That's the way PTs are designed. You do not see repeated values as it's 'easier' to read things without them.

I recognize that... however I need to do a nested Vlookup using the data in this pivot, and can't if the field is blank.

Unless there is some other way to do the vlookup?

I'm sure there's something we can do.

Can you provide an example of how your PT is laid out as well as what you're trying to lookup? Actual data (doesn't have to be real) rather than a screen shot would be best.

Right Click, Field Settings
Go to the Layout & Print tab
'check' the Show items with no data
