=FILTER(AAA!A2:X1000000,(AAA!W2:W1000000=B3)*(AAA!S2:S1000000=28))

the source has up to column X

is there a way to show only specific columns and not return the entire data set?

eg return only columns A,B, W, and S?

Excel Facts

Format cells as currency
Select range and press Ctrl+Shift+4 to format cells as currency. (Shift 4 is the $ sign).
I believe so, you can wrap your formula around the Choosecol formula. Maybe:

Excel Formula:
=CHOOSECOLS(FILTER(AAA!A2:X1000000,(AAA!W2:W1000000=B3)*(AAA!S2:S1000000=28)),1,2,23,19)
