I have a Workbook (Excel 2003/SP3 XP) that has a query to external data where the data is refreshed upon opening it. I have been experimenting with the Advanced Filter feature and now Show All under the menu heading Filter is greyed out.
- I've checked for "Show All" under Tools | Options | View
- I am using only one sheet, so no grouping
- The worksheet or workbook is not protected
- Workbook stored/saved to network drive
- I reset the toolbar to defaults
- Workbook is not shared
- I am the only user
- No VBA code
- Did a Excel repair
- Rebooted
- Any workbook/sheet I open now has the "Show All" under Data | Filter greyed out.
- 900 rows and cols are A through AF (no missing, hidden rows or cols)
- I can't attach the workbook as it is sensitive data

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. We are getting ready to upgrade to 2007 but can't do it for this project yet.

Thank you in advanced

Do you hate GETPIVOTDATA?
Prevent GETPIVOTDATA. Select inside a PivotTable. In the Analyze tab of the ribbon, open the dropown next to Options and turn it off
i think it will be always 'grayed-out' unless you have something filtered already. if there's no filtered applied, then there would be nothing to 'show all' for.
