Find a date

I have dates in Column A which are in ascending order and I have:

Sub abc()
x=inputbox("Please input a starting date")
set f =Range("A:A").find(x)
end if

What I want is to find the first row which date is >=x. Please tell me how to write the script. Thanks.

This is how I would go about that:

x = InputBox("Please input a starting date")
Set f = Range("A:A").Find(What:=CDate(x), LookIn:=xlValues, LookAt:=xlWhole)
If Not f Is Nothing Then
    Set f = f.Offset(1, 0)
Else
    MsgBox "Date not found"
    Exit Sub
End If
