find and replace in only one column

can i? i know i can copy the column to a new workbook and F&R from there. any way to do it 'natively' (without the new workbook. ya know, right there as i'm looking at it)?

Select (highlight) the column and perform your find & replace.

doh! i swear to god, i am a moron, in that i'm too smart for my own good. of course i had selected the column prior to F&R. but me, being sooooooo smart, i had to click on 'options' to make sure i had all my bases covered. as soon as you do that, the F&R becomes global.

so barrie, thank you. i promise not to be so smart in the future.
